The City of Tavares presented its 5th Annual Rocktoberfest 2023, featuring Sister Hazel and The Ries Brothers as the main acts! The concert took place on Saturday, October 14th in Wooton Park, Tavares, offering live rock music, seaplane competitions, food trucks, and merchandise vendors. And, as a proud mobile stage rental company owner, we provided the StageLine SL100 stage for this unforgettable event, as we have for the past several years.
It all began with a Monster Splash Seaplane Fly-In. Seaplanes flew in from all over to participate in flying competitions, including the “Pumpkin Drop” contest. As the pilots competed, the city distributed pumpkin decorating kits to the first 200 kids at the Pilot Registration Tent. After the seaplane flying contests, the Pilot/Spectator meet and greet took place offering a chance to get photos with the pilots and their seaplanes.
After the contests, the event transitioned into a live rock show, with a lineup of talented bands. The show began with the return of one of Central Florida’s favorite three-piece bands, Hypersona. Hypersona was back on stage at Rocktoberfest for the first time since 2018, and their performance was rock solid, no pun intended! Then the talented St. Petersburg duo, The Ries Brothers, made their debut Tavares performance, captivating the crowd.
As the sun set, the stage lit up and sounded amazing, thanks to Tony Visconti at AAAA Productions. Up next, the headliner, Sister Hazel, a group of five musicians from Gainesville, Florida. They are mostly known from singles that hit the charts in the late 90’s and early 2000’s, such as All For You, Champagne High, and Change Your Mind.
Notably, we were proud to have played our part in making this event a huge success by providing the StageLine SL100 stage for the concert. The admission was free, and the memories were priceless.
