Getting event sponsors isn’t always easy, however with some planning, it can get easier. If you show sponsors how you can maximize their return on investment, they will be more apt to sponsor. Here are several ways to help your odds at scoring a sponsor…
Get a mobile stage with roof that has a large amount of stage banner space high in the air. How does this convince a sponsor? Sponsors want to know their ads can be seen from far away and from almost any part of the event. Getting banners up high on a mobile stage with roof will certainly grab attention with attendees and the pictures taken for social media.
#2: Meet with local drink distributors
Some popular drink companies like Red Bull or Monster will sponsor an event if they think your event aligns with their brand.
#3: Cities/municipalities/utilities/etc
Many cities, municipalities, and utility companies love to expand their brand and support local events they want to align themselves with. We have seen many cities sponsor events. Look for event coordinators within the organization and tell them about your event.
#4: Local Restaurants / Businesses
Looking for a free or low cost location to have your event? Local restaurants are always looking to increase their business. Nothing is better than throwing an event in their parking lot. You get a free or low cost location and they get a lot of people to their business due to your event attendees. The restaurant may even pay you to put their banners on the stage or to just bring your followers to their business with your event. Make sure to get proper permits and that the landlord has signed off.
HOT TIP!
When designing your banners, make sure to put a #hashtag. Keep it simple with one hashtag per sponsor or just one hashtag for the event. You want others that couldn’t make it to the event to see all the pictures taken by attendees. The search algorithm is extremely targeted and expands the reach of your sponsor’s brand on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.
