Craning up a mobile stage onto a cruse ship is no easy task, but when you envision something, you’ve got to make it happen. That’s what the owner and CEO of LRBC has done.
Each year since 2017 we have craned one of our Stageline SL100 mobile stages onto one of the Holland America cruise ships. We use the same stage due to how it’s been modified to work with this cruise and the crane. We even strap the roof with heavy duty ratchet straps due to the uncertainty of weather at sea.
This particular Holland America cruise took 3,000 blues lovers around the Caribbean from Ft. Lauderdale, Dominican Republic, St. Thomas (USVI), and finally to Tortola (BVI). As always, it was another successful year.
We are honored to be a part of this massive event in the middle of the ocean each year that puts on hundreds of events on the many stages on the ship. Our Stageline SL100 is the only stage outdoors on the aft of the ship.
We captured some pictures of one of our favorite bands, Terrance Simien, on this cruise. His energy is contagious, and he always has a smile while performing. His roots are in New Orleans and he was a grammy winner in 2008 for best Zydeco and Cajun Music Album.
