We had the opportunity to provide the stage for the annual 2022 Rocktoberfest put on by the City of Tavares held in the downtown area of Tavares at Wooton Park, which is right on the water (aka the Seaplane City).
The event features a variety of rock bands, both local and national.
In addition to the music, Rocktoberfest also features a variety of food and drink options, including local craft beer and food vendors. There are also carnival rides and games for those looking to bring their kids along.
One of the highlights of Rocktoberfest is the main stage, particularly our Stageline SL100, where top rock bands from around the country perform. In the past, we provided our stages for bands such as Petty Cash in 2018, Trapt in 2019, Scott Stapp of Creed in 2021, and this year, the Atomic Punks in 2022.
The bands that performed at Rocktoberfest 2022 in Tavares were Black Canvas, Atomic Punks, and Petty Cash (headliner).
Black Canvas is a Central Florida rock band that opened up Rocktoberfest 2022 as the first band to hit the stage.
The Atomic Punks are new to Rocktoberfest, and are a tribute band that was formed in 1992 in Los Angeles, California. They are known for their faithful and energetic renditions of the music of Van Halen.
Here is my wife and I to the left with the lead singer, Brian Geller. This is one of the best tribute bands we’ve ever seen.
The Atomic Punks are known for their attention to detail. They use the same instruments and equipment as Van Halen, and they dress in the same style as the band. They also put on a high-energy show that includes all of Van Halen’s classic hits, such as “Jump,” “Panama,” and “Runnin’ with the Devil.”
One of the things that sets the Atomic Punks apart from other tribute bands is their commitment to authenticity. They don’t just play the songs; they try to capture the spirit and energy of Van Halen’s live performances.
Petty Cash closed out the night for another terrific performance, playing songs from Tom Petty.
